These are the rules for using overthinker. By using the app, you agree to them.
Who can use it
You have to be 13 or older. If you are under the age of adulthood where you live, you need a parent or guardian to agree to these terms too.
What it is, and what it is not
overthinker shows the ways a situation could go. The outcomes are written by an AI model. The numbers come from published studies and from people who said how theirs turned out. Until there is enough of either, you see a ranking instead of numbers.
It does not predict the future, and it is not advice. It is not medical, legal, financial or mental health advice. Do not make a serious decision only because of what it shows.
If you are thinking about hurting yourself or someone else, or you are in danger, stop and get help now. In the US or Canada, call or text 988. Elsewhere, call your local emergency number.
What you put in
You own what you write. When you ask a question or add a note, you let us store it, show the outcomes to you, and show it to other people without your name after it has been checked. You can keep a question to yourself. You can delete what you wrote by deleting your account.
Do not post anything that:
- names or points to a real person who could be recognised,
- is hateful, harassing, sexual, or threatens anyone,
- asks for help hurting someone, or
- is spam, or is not yours to share.
Say how things really turned out. Made-up answers make the numbers worse for everyone.
We check what is shown to other people, and we may hide anything that breaks these rules. You can report anything you see, and block the person who wrote it without them knowing. If someone keeps breaking the rules, we may close their account.
Answers and Pro
Asking a question costs answers. You earn answers by saying how other people's questions went. Answers have no money value and cannot be sold or swapped.
Pro is a monthly subscription sold through the App Store, at the price shown before you buy. It renews each month until you cancel. Cancel any time in your iPhone's Settings, under your name, then Subscriptions. Cancelling stops the next payment; Pro lasts until the end of the month you paid for. Refunds are handled by Apple.
We may change what Free and Pro include. If a change takes away something you paid for, we will tell you first.
Beta
While the app is in beta, things may change, break or be reset. Thank you for putting up with that.
The legal part
The app is provided as it is. We do our best to keep it working and accurate, but we do not promise it will be, and we are not responsible for what you decide to do because of it. As far as the law allows, we are not liable for any loss that comes from using the app. Nothing here takes away rights the law says you cannot give up.
We may update these terms. If a change matters, we will say so in the app before it takes effect. If you keep using the app after that, you accept the new terms.
